  • WOMEN'S FALL-WINTER 2018 POP-UP AT LANDMARK ATRIUM, CENTRAL

    Louis Vuitton will open its first women’s pop-up in Hong Kong showcasing the Fall-Winter 2018 collection - at the Landmark Atrium, Central from 13th July until 3rd August 2018.

    Presented at the Cour Lefuel within the Louvre earlier this year, the collection is about anachronisms, a fashion statement that transcends time. Nicolas Ghesquière has created a quintessentially French look; a nod to “French Chic” with strong details that have been interpreted with an elegant yet modern twist. Featuring key themes including sportswear, western embroidery and jewel embellishments, it offers a complete wardrobe for today’s sophisticated woman.

    A capsule collection of ready-to-wear featuring the Monogram Trunk will be launched at the pop-up; offering a fresh and feminine perspective on the iconic codes of the House.

    The Women’s Fall-Winter 2018 collection by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton presents elegant eclecticism and thoughtful craftsmanship.

    In the new video that accompanies the Women’s Fall-Winter 2018 collection, key looks and accessories come through with a sense of individuality and reinforce the strength of inspired design. Nicolas Ghesquière developed the ready-to-wear with an eye oriented towards contemporary savoir-faire, such that a bustier embroidered by hand using a crochet technique gives off metallic lustre, while a tweed jacket hand-stitched with chain embroidery elevates a traditional pattern with extra shine. Colour-blocked dresses and tops boast inlays of silk and jersey that reinforce the collection’s contrasting attitudes of elegance and sport style. The Headline shoes combine craftsmanship and artistic flourish: hand-painted ostrich leather, a heel enveloped in python, and a metal-and-leather accessory placed by hand comprise this striking design. These are just a few glimpses into the array of detailing that makes up the collection. Each new statement on each girl is the sum of myriad well-considered parts.
