    The ultra-lightweight design simultaneously addresses active and aesthetic criteria: a supple, all-knit body meets a sleek, supportive sole hand-assembled from three pieces of resistant material. Made in Italy, the V.N.R advances Louis Vuitton’s tradition of savoir-faire through unique technical details. The seamless upper, for instance, weighs a mere 60 grams, while the gradient colour on the aerodynamic outsole is painted by hand using a technique that is rarely applied outside the auto industry.

    The latest issue of Madame Figaro makes a special impression with Nicolas Ghesquière in the role of guest editor.

    An invitation was extended to Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director, who brings to the magazine exclusive content in parallel to his strong visual imprint. Photographed throughout by Collier Schorr, the issue includes portraits of friends and Maison muses Emma Stone (who appears on the cover), Michelle Williams, Alicia Vikander and Léa Seydoux. In another feature, Ghesquière takes readers on a tour of his Paris home in the company of his dog. As guest editor for the first time, the designer has revealed new, illuminating facets of his creative universe.

    Dubbed V.N.R (Vuitton New Runner), Louis Vuitton's new sneakers boast a technical elegance that has already earned them iconic status.

    Lightweight, flexible and leading-edge, the V.N.R combines know-how and aesthetics in one. One year's research and development was required to manufacture these trainers with an urban flair. They take their inspiration from the house's heritage, while meeting the demands of style and technical expertise.

    Comfortably wrapping the foot to provide extra support, they are crafted in an ultra-light breathable knit, while the three-piece outsole is assembled by hand. The crowning detail is the gradient hand-painted sole, which adds a touch of modern sophistication. The model is initially available in four colours: denim blue, space grey, pure white and bold black.
