• AMERICA'S CUP A LIFE LONG QUEST

    Louis Vuitton and the America’s Cup enjoy one of the longest partnerships in the world of sports, dating back to 1983.

    Six teams have so far taken up the challenge of racing for the next America’s Cup. The defending champion is Oracle Team USA. The challengers are Emirates Team New Zealand, Artemis Racing (SWE), Land Rover Bar  (GBR), SoftBank Team Japan (JPN) and Groupama Team France.

    The America's Cup is the oldest trophy in international sport. The first race was organised by the Royal Yacht Squadron and was a single race around the Isle of Wight, open to all nations. The amazing thing is that the event started in the UK in 1851 and Great Britain has yet to win it!

    The first Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series will take place in Portsmouth from July 23rd until July 26th, 2015.

    The V signature infiltrates the Louis Vuitton Women's Shoe collection for Fall 2015.

    With a gentle autumn light, London-based photographer Thomas Brown glamorizes Louis Vuitton women's shoes for next season. Elegant sandals, wedge mules and flat shoes in suede baby goat leather are enhanced by gold metal rings and graphic V accessories inspired by the Louis Vuitton V fashion jewellery collection.

    The Louis Vuitton Men's Shoe collection for Fall 2015 is marked by the V signature

    For the coming season, Derby and loafer shoes feature the "Volez, Voguez, Voyagez" signature inspired by the men's ready-to-wear collection, with subtle two-tone calf leather trim. Made in patent calf leather or glazed waxed calf leather, these shoes demonstrate the Fiesso savoir-faire through invisible stitching technique, which makes them a perfect final touch to an evening wardrobe.

    The suggestion of travel and abstract graphics in this film shot by Bruce Weber for the recent advertising campaign from Louis Vuitton, creates a cinematic narrative. The location is an old airfield and the glimpse of the campaign shoot, starring Freja Beha, Rianne van Rompaey and Julia Merkelbach was shot on black and white film.
