• WOMEN'S AUTUMN-WINTER 2016 SHOW: SELECTED LOOKS

A selection of the top looks and details from the Louis Vuitton show.

In a futuristic show scenography, set aside the Fondation Louis Vuitton, dynamic heroines graced the catwalk between mirror-columns, inspired from French artist Justin Morin’s artwork «Melted Bones».

Alternately showing close-ups and slow motions, this short film pays tribute to the details that make Nicolas Ghesquiere's wardrobe immediately idenfiable: leather jackets, fluid sensual dresses in scarf prints, mohair sweaters,  zip-front molded-hip jackets, gigantic pendant earrings, new bags, etc.

It is a wardrobe that affectionately revisits the past, invents a confident present and defines a fluid mutable future.

  • WOMEN'S AUTUMN-WINTER 2016 SHOW: THE SET

The setting for the Louis Vuitton fashion show.

The enigmatic location for the Autumn-Winter 2016 fashion show comprised a dome, a cube and a pyramid structure, built alongside the magnificent Fondation Louis Vuitton designed by Frank Gehry. The show universe was filled with tensions between seemingly opposing elements - future and retro, eternal and ephemeral, monument and ruin. The bespoke venue was filled with 57 silver pillars made from shattered mirrors and broken colonnades keeling over with concrete spilling out. A blue aquatic mood was offset by crisp white neon lighting and a constantly changing and evolving environment that reflected the story of the collection as it unfolded.
