Virgil Abloh confronts and exercises the creative constraints of a pre-collection in his first offering of its kind at Louis Vuitton. The Men’s Artistic Director roots the collection in the wardrobe staples associated with outdoor pursuits, from sailing jackets and hiking sneakers to sporting-inspired logo graphics. Japan is a recurring influence and motif, directly referenced through imagery of Mount Fuji or more subtly with a Japanese check pattern. Actors Ashton Sanders and Duke Nicholson were chosen to embody the idiosyncratic and intuitive style imbued by Virgil Abloh in this collection that furthers his ongoing seasonal explorations for Louis Vuitton.
