• MEN'S STYLE SELECTOR FW18

Discover Louis Vuitton’s City Essentials line-up for autumn.

Your wardrobe update starts here. The new Men’s Style Selector can facilitate your perfect total look by suggesting key accessories and leather goods that correspond to three different lifestyle themes: Relaxed Sport, City Essentials, and Business Smart.

A closer look at the City Essentials reveals a distinctive range of accent pieces such as the Skyline belt, Damier black necklace and Derby boots. Added to classic trousers that boast leather belt loops, they signal an elegant uniform with everyday functionality. Layering a lightweight nylon blouson with one in padded leather reinforces a fresher look. Regarding leather goods, the Graphite Damier backpack, the Steamer backpack style in Mongram Eclipse, and the Messenger bag in cobalt Epi leather are all equally well-suited to city functionality.

Swing one over the shoulder of a new double-face Monogram coat and add a pair Monogram patterned black sunglasses to make a statement that gives off contemporary polish and understated cool.

  • THE WOMEN’S FALL-WINTER 2018 COLLECTION

The Women’s Fall-Winter 2018 collection by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton presents elegant eclecticism and thoughtful craftsmanship.

In the new video that accompanies the Women’s Fall-Winter 2018 collection, key looks and accessories come through with a sense of individuality and reinforce the strength of inspired design. Nicolas Ghesquière developed the ready-to-wear with an eye oriented towards contemporary savoir-faire, such that a bustier embroidered by hand using a crochet technique gives off metallic lustre, while a tweed jacket hand-stitched with chain embroidery elevates a traditional pattern with extra shine. Colour-blocked dresses and tops boast inlays of silk and jersey that reinforce the collection’s contrasting attitudes of elegance and sport style. The Headline shoes combine craftsmanship and artistic flourish: hand-painted ostrich leather, a heel enveloped in python, and a metal-and-leather accessory placed by hand comprise this striking design. These are just a few glimpses into the array of detailing that makes up the collection. Each new statement on each girl is the sum of myriad well-considered parts.

Whether an ample coat or a fluid evening dress, slim trousers or blouses with flattering volumes, his collection asserts an updated interpretation of French chic. Colours enhance classic silhouettes and eclectic flourishes add new sophistication. Alongside these looks are the latest handbag, which further the iconic signatures of Louis Vuitton. Among the standouts: a hatbox scaled down to a miniature size in the classic Monogram canvas; or the new Petite Malle, which envelops the Maison’s heritage with a layer of sparkle. Altogether, a sense of fluid force designed to endure.

  • LES VOYAGES DE JACQUES CAVALLIER BELLETRUD

From the ends of the world to Grasse, discovering perfumery’s most luxurious raw ingredients.

A native of Grasse, the cradle of both perfumery and leather work, Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud created each of his new men’s perfumes in his creative atelier at Les Fontaines Parfumées.

In this Provençal estate, surrounded by flower fields and citrus groves, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud composes and formulates immobile journeys designed to take shape on the surface of the skin. To do so, he draws from the most exquisite raw materials in the world. He travels the five continents in quest of olfactory emotion: knows by heart all the steps necessary to cultivate Pallida iris and Peruvian balsam, the artisanal harvesting of which he tracks in Salvador; negotiates the quality of citrus with growers in Calabria, and purchases the most aromatic cocoa beans on the Ivory Coast, as well as Sambac jasmine in China. But once the ingredients are sourced, they are transported to his hometown of Grasse, and the transformation begins. Bolstered by the exceptional knowledge in Grasse where, from one generation to the next, experts perfect and transmit techniques for transforming raw materials and performing carbon dioxide extractions. Each petal is reverently respected; resulting in infusions so faithful to the original plant that they could already stand on their own as perfumes.
