Fragrance meets Design
Louis Vuitton has always striven to create objects that last and can be passed down from generation to generation. For the first time, Les Parfums Louis Vuitton are presented in a one-liter bottle made of Baccarat crystal. An original masterpiece designed for connoisseurs, the Flacon d’Exception sits on a leather base stamped with the Maison’s logo and is showcased under a glass dome like a work of art. This monumental bottle will house three of the Maison’s emblematic fragrances composed by Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud: Rose des Vents, an exceptional trio of roses; Matière Noire, a true olfactory kaleidoscope blending Laos agarwood with patchouli; and L’Immensité, pairing the crackle of ginger with the bitterness of grapefruit.
For the Flacon d’Exception, I wanted to create something whimsical and fun that’s also very functional. It’s scaled up to a sculptural dimension and takes inspiration from vintage fragrance displays.
A Timeless Creation
Exceptional Savoir-Faire
To magnify Marc Newson’s hand-crafted design, Louis Vuitton turned to Baccarat crystalworks, which boasts 250 years of history and expertise. Drawing on age-old glassblowing techniques, Master Glassmakers fabricated the bottle using the most precious crystal. The black crystal cap features the LV Circle logo in hand-painted gold enamel, adding an exquisite touch. The bottle rests majestically on a natural leather base manufactured in Louis Vuitton’s workshops, whose delicate and sensitive leather acquires a unique, amber-toned patina.
