With his Surface Lamp for the Objets Nomades collection, Oki Sato, the inspired designer behind the Nendo Studio: encased light in leather. A rechargeable lamp is shaped by a sheet of Nomade leather, perforated to reveal a subtle gradient interpretation of the emblematic Louis Vuitton Damier motif when the light is on. Between uses, it rolls up and fits into a handy carrying harness — “nomadism” at its best.
